Recommended crop protection technology
The package contains three active ingredients (nicosulfuron, mesotrione, and dicamba), making it effective against a wide range of weeds that pose a problem in corn!
Nicosulfuron is effective against seed-propagated monocotyledonous weeds—such as barnyard grass, millet, ryegrass, and foxtail species—and perennial monocotyledonous weeds, including couch grass and Johnson grass. In addition to monocotyledonous weeds, it can also be effectively used against various seed-propagated dicotyledonous weeds, such as redroot pigweed, wild mustard, chickweed, shepherd's purse, volunteer sunflower, and purslane.
The combination of mesotrione and dicamba completes the control of seed-propagated and perennial dicotyledonous weeds. Mesotrione also inhibits the germination of numerous dicotyledonous weeds through its soil activity. To ensure its soil effect, an adequate amount of washing rainfall is required within two weeks after application.
In feed corn, the product should be applied after the crop emerges, at its 3-6 leaf stage, when monocotyledonous weeds are at the 1-3 leaf stage. Seed-propagated dicotyledonous weed species are most sensitive to the product at the 2-4 leaf stage. In cases of heavy weed pressure, the use of the authorized higher dosage is recommended. The product also suppresses the growth of perennial dicotyledonous weeds. When applied at the appropriate time, it is effective against field thistle as well.
The product can be used only once per growing season!
In dry weather conditions, the herbicidal effect can be enhanced by applying 3-4 kg/ha of nitrogen-based fertilizer!
Producer's opinion
István Fehérvári, sole proprietor, Alap:

In 2022, we once again set up our traditional corn variety trial near Alap, which has been a regular practice for years. The trial included hybrids from numerous seed owners and weed control technologies from four manufacturers and trading companies. Despite the drought damage, which unfortunately prevented us from holding the usual demonstration, the weed control trial was successful.
In the AgriDeal technology, the BINGO GOLD 5-hectare post-emergence weed control package for corn was included. This "Jolly Joker, all-in-one" package excels thanks to the OD-formulated nicosulfuron, which effectively controls seed-propagated and perennial monocotyledonous weeds. The combination of mesotrione and dicamba completes the control of seed-propagated and perennial dicotyledonous weeds while also providing residual soil activity.
I applied BINGO GOLD after seedbed preparation and sowing, at the 5-6 leaf stage of corn, to ensure weeds did not gain an advantage over the crop. Sowing took place on April 26, and the herbicide was applied on May 25, when the weeds were at the 4-5 leaf stage. The weed control was highly effective; multiple field inspections showed the plot remained clean and weed-free all the way to the end of the growing season.
