Recommended crop protection technology
In winter wheat and triticale, the product should be applied in autumn, post-emergence, in areas infested with annual broadleaf weeds, from the 2-leaf stage to the tillering stage (2 side shoots) of the crop, at a dosage of 0.24-0.3 L/ha. The product should be applied when the annual broadleaf weeds are at the cotyledon stage of development.
Cereal crops under stress (due to frost, drought, waterlogging, diseases, or pests) or weakened stands must not be treated to avoid crop damage. The product must not be applied to snow-covered or frozen soil, or before or after frosty nights (a frost-free period is required).
Care must be taken to avoid overlapping that could result in a double dosage application!
During application, special attention must be paid to preventing spray drift! Under normal crop rotation, there is no risk of damage to succeeding crops after harvest, provided at least 15 cm deep plowing is performed.
In case of crop failure, at least 12 weeks after the application of the product and following plowing to a depth of at least 20 cm, spring wheat, spring barley, peas, faba beans, sugar beet, carrots, onions, and related crops can be sown, or potatoes can be planted in the spring.
| Crop | Pest | Dose l/ha | Spray liquid l/ha | Timing of treatment (according to phenological stage) |
| winter wheat, triticale | seed-germinating broadleaf weeds | 0,24-0,3 | 200-300 | From the 2-leaf stage to the tillering stage (2 side shoots) development (BBCH 12-22) |
Impact mechanism
The active ingredient diflufenican belongs to the HRAC "F" herbicide group, specifically to the "F1" subgroup of herbicides that inhibit carotenoid biosynthesis (phytoene desaturase inhibitors).
Aerial application: not permitted.
